Rock Story – TV Globo soap opera fashion show

Ten looks from our Sacred Art collection compose the fashion show on TV Globo’s Rock Story soap opera. In the plot, the fashion show is idealized by two characters: the stylist Gloria Braga, portrayed by the wonderful Lu Grimaldi, and Yasmin Aparecida da Conceição, played by the beautiful Marina Moschen.

It was a wonderful surprise to receive this invitation by the dear and experienced costume designer Helena Gastal, through the appointment of Paula Acioali (FGV Fashion Management coordinator)!

We at Fruto do Conde are very happy to receive this recognition of our work by the technical body, actresses and all participants of the project!

The preparation of the look was made in conjunction with the competent TV Globo stylists and make up artists, and the scenes were carefully directed by Maria de Médicis, at the beautiful venue of Cidade das Artes, located in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro.

Also, it was a lot of fun being invited to feature in the scenes as a spectator to the fashion show!

I am loving the Fashion Course!

IED Sacred Art collection’s fashion show, at MAM

In the video above it’s possible to check out Fruto do Conde’s Sacred Art collection fashion show, that took place at MAM – the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro, located in the district of Flamengo.

The collection was idealized and presented as the Fashion Design course graduation project for the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED/RJ), on December 2016.

The pieces, all conceptual, were inspired by byzantine and medieval sacred art, and in religious faith. The beautiful fabrics were imported from Canada, carefully chosen with the purpose of exploring textures and in order to translate the aesthetic aspects and language of religious art.

We also created and crafted exclusive accessories: earrings, necklaces with crosses and head ornments –  such as crowns and halos, which represent spiritual enlightenment.
